OCEAN SHORES EVENTS   July 4, 2015 on the Beaches of Ocean Shores, WA   July 4, 2015 ~ Independence Day fell on a Saturday this year, and we had the greatest number of people I have seen in the past few years.  It was packed! OCEAN SHORES EVENTS Five Star Dealerships Sand and Sawdust Festival 2015   June 26th-28th ~ The annual Five Star Dealerships Sand and Sawdust Festival was held over the weekend. The weather was great with Sunny skies on Friday and Saturday and some clouds on Sunday. There were a ton of people in town. The Master's and Intermediate Division was held on the beach. The Singles Division was done at different venues -- the Convention Center, Bennett's Fish Shack, and the Playtime Family Fun Center. The crisp cedar smells permeated the air at the Woodcarving Competitions in front of the Convention Center, which always produces many pieces of art. Master Chainsaw Carvers from around the world and the United States compete for thousands of dollars in prizes. Competitions took place from 9-4 on Friday and Saturday and 8-1 on Sunday. The Awards Ceremony and Auction was held on Sunday at 4pm. You will have to wait until next year to have a chance to take home a piece of or
